1980 Cessna Citation II

N317HC  S/N 550-0185

1980 Cessna Citation 550-0185 is a ready to be delivered and placed into service Citation Model 550 with two (2) freshly overhauled Engines and with all currently due Inspections completed.  The aircraft is hangared at Addison airport (ADS) in Addison, TX (North Dallas).  The asking price is $1,250,000.

History

Jerry Temple Aviation (JTA) has had a long relationship with the partnership of Honduran businessmen (TASSA) that owns the aircraft.  Beginning in 1992, JTA has supported TASSA with the purchase and/or sales of a Cessna 340A, Cessna T210, Commander 690, this Citation II and its Citation V replacement.

In 9/04 JTA represented TASSA in the acquisition of this Citation II.  The aircraft was owned by a New Orleans energy firm.  JTA researched the aircraft’s history and made a solo initial visit to see the aircraft, meet the Chief Pilot and confirm the presence of all Logbooks and Records.  A second visit was scheduled to include TASSA’s Chief Pilot and an experienced Typed-Rated Citation II Pilot/Citation mechanic.  The aircraft was demonstrated and the Logbooks/Records were given an initial review.

An Offer to Purchase was prepared and submitted by JTA with formal acceptance by the Owner.  TASSA’s Chief Pilot and the Owner’s Chief Pilot flew the aircraft to Aero Mechanix, and independent shop, at Addison Airport (ADS) in North Dallas.  The aircraft underwent a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection.  The noted discrepancies (“Squawks”) were discussed and a mutually agreed to price concession was accepted.  Done deal.

JTA then coordinated the post-sale required/desired maintenance and modifications.  Flite Electronics, at ADS, modernized/upgraded the Avionics Panel.  In addition, JBS Interiors at ADS addressed Interior improvements and re-furbished the Cabinetry.

JTA coordinated the crew training and establishment of a U.S. Corporation to own the aircraft.  The aircraft has remained U.S registered N317HC.  All Logbooks and Records have been maintained in English.  The aircraft is on Cescom, Cessna’s computerized maintenance program.  All major maintenance has been performed by Aero Mechanix at ADS.  The aircraft has been very reliable with no major maintenance issues.

In July, 2007, the aircraft was flown to ADS for the removal and installation of two overhauled Pratt & Whitney JT15D-4 Engines.  The Engines were overhauled by Atlantic Turbines.   Atlantic Turbines provides a standard warranty on overhauled Turbofan Engines.  The specifications and warranty for each Engine is posted at JTA’s web site, www.jtatwins.com.  See the Engines link on the aircraft Spec Sheet.

In addition to the Engine installations, the aircraft has received a Phase 1-4 Inspection.  The aircraft has also received a complete Interior and Exterior detailing with Exterior Paint touch-up.  It’s ready for a new owner to place into service.
